1st Roffey Scout Group

1st Roffey is the oldest continuously operating Scout Group in Horsham with records of Scouts in Roffey dating back to 1910. Now over 100 years old, we remain a traditional Scout Group, teaching skills for life to the young people of Roffey, North Horsham and occasionally beyond. With approx. 100 members and adult volunteers the Group has single Beaver, Cub and Scout Sections. Older members (14+) have the opportunity of continuing their Scouting with the Phoenix Explorer Unit which meets at our HQ on a Monday evening.
Whilst we have our own Scout HQ, we are outdoor orientated and meet outside as often as we can. Camping (both campsite and green field), hiking and kayaking are just some of the Group´s activities. We also have interests in climbing and competition shooting and have trained instructors as members of the leadership team.
