1st Cowfold Scout Group

1st Cowfold Scout Group was first formed in 1963, and today we are a thriving Scout Group of over 120 young people ranging from Beaver Scouts (ages 6-8), through Cubs (ages 8-10½), Scouts (ages 10½-14) and Taurus Explorers (ages 14-18).
Although we are based in Cowfold we also have many members from our surrounding villages of Lower Beeding, Plummers Plain, Handcross, Nuthurst, Mannings Heath, Bolney, Partridge Green, Twineham, Wineham, Warningly, Brooks Green and Monks Gate. We even have members from Horsham!

Meeting Nights:

  • Squirrel Drey (4-6 year olds) – Tuesday’s 16:30 – 17:30
  • Beaver Scout Colony (6-8 year olds) – Friday 17:30 – 18:30
  • Cub Scout Pack (8-10½ year olds) – Thursday 18:45 – 20:15
  • Scout Troop (10½ – 14 year olds) – Friday 19:00 – 20:30
  • Taurus Explorer Scout Unit (ages 14-18) – Friday 19:00 – 20:30

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
