Horsham Scout District has lost two long time supporters very recently.
Dave and Pat Stillwell had a long term association with Horsham Scouting through their tireless and devoted voluntary service as Warden and Treasurer of the District campsite.
Pat had been Campsite Treasurer for many years and for the past seven years the Booking Secretary with Dave generously giving access to the equipment and materials necessary for the work required in maintaining the wonderful Beacon Hill campsite facility that has given so much pleasure and opportunity to thousands of Scouts over the years.
Regrettably Pat died in April and her funeral was held on 31st May.
Dave also had a prolonged period of ill health but it came as a great shock when he died shortly after Pat’s funeral on 8th June.
Both these generous, enthusiastic, humorous and vibrant supporters of Scouting will be greatly missed by everyone in Horsham Scout District.
May they both Rest in Peace.
Dave Stillwell’s funeral will take place at Worth Crematorium, Crawley on Tuesday 20th June at 11.15 am.
Friends and colleagues are welcome to attend and invested members of the Scout Movement are encouraged to wear uniform.
