Beavers: 6-8 Yrs Old

Our youngest and often our noisiest scouts are Beaver Scouts. Girls and boys can join a Beaver Colony to meet new friends, go on trips, be creative and play games, helping Beavers to learn about the world around them and to build their social and safety skills.

Badges

Beavers will have the opportunity to earn Badges such as Hobbies, Health & Fitness, Safety and Faith,  Friendship, Creative and Outdoor by successfully completing several challenges (click here to download the file showing the position of badges on uniform)

Beaver Meetings

Beavers meet once a week usually for one hour. Depending on the planned activity, the meeting may be at the Scout Headquarters, campsite or other pre-arranged location, such as the local park.

There is a subscription for attending Beaver meetings, this can be paid weekly, monthly, in cash, by cheque or Direct Debit. Scouting is available to all and therefore if finances are holding back a young person joining Beavers, please contact the relevant Group Scout Leader in confidence to discuss financial assistance.

Beaver Uniforms

Beavers wear a uniform including trousers, polo shirt and sweatshirt. The uniform can be easily washed and can be purchased online or through local outlets.
